[sə'mærəs], Lucas, amerikanischer Maler und Bildhauer griechischer Herkunft, * Kastoria 14. 9. 1936; kam 1948 in die USA. Sein Werk umfasst Objekte (zum Teil möbelartige Gebilde und Kästen mit Nadeln oder Rasierklingen), die surrealistischen Elemente mit Einflüssen avantgardistischer Strömungen verbinden, weiterhin labyrinthische Spiegel als Environments. Seine Performances und Fotosequenzen stehen in Zusammenhang mit der Body-Art.
